Looking for something fun to do with your preschooler on Monday or Friday mornings? Come and join Cedar Saplings playgroup, 9am-12pm. Catering from birth to school age. We’re a Ministry of Education Certificated playgroup, we follow NZ early childhood curriculum Te Whāriki. We’d love to see you soon.

Term 1 2026 has begun, we have 2 Space sessions that met yesterday and playgroup will start on Friday 30th, and Monday playgroup will start February 2nd.
All preschool ages are welcome Mondays and Fridays, 9am-12pm. Pop in to visit us in the Chelsea Rooms at the Cedar Centre, 56A Tramway Rd, Beach Haven.

We’re starting a new Space programme for babies born October 2025- January 2026, Tuesday 27th January, 12.30pm-3pm.

Cedar Saplings SPACE Space supports you and your baby in the critical first year to develop your parenting skills.

SPACE GROUP register NOW for Term 4 -Start date 8 October 2025, for babies born June July August September. Space supports you and your baby throughout your first year, while you build great relationships with other parents. Together with your little one, you’ll meet weekly over 30 weeks to explore parenting and your baby’s development as you discover what works for your family in a safe, facilitated environment. As well as discussion topics such as sleep, attachment and brain development, you’ll enjoy music, books and play experiences while getting to know the families in your group.

Kai Tahi is on this Wednesday Night (21 May 2025) at the Cedar Centre 56a Tramway Rd Beach Haven 5.30 to 7pm Come along and share a meal with other members of the community. All welcome.

A SPACE group has limited places in the final term that covers the topics of playing with your baby. Baby needs to be sitting and/or moving to take advantage of this opportunity. The group meets on 12.30pm to 3pm for Term I only, at Cedar Centre's Chelsea Rooms 56a Tramway Rd Beach Haven. Call Janice on 021563342 to register your interest.

Calling parents with pre-school children. Cedar Saplings Playgroups have places available on both Monday and Thursday. We are a parent lead Playgroup, held during school term time 9.00 to 12 midday for children aged 0-5 years.
