We had such a full weekend of dance at National Dance Challenge over the weekend!
Thursday night we received our PACANZ nomination!! Thursday and Friday night had many of the talented Studio 246 dancers not only take to the stage with their schools, but also choreograph their schools teams as well.
Saturday and Sunday saw Studio 246 take out a plethora awards including Junior Team of the Year for Magic, the Rising Star award, as well as a wild card into the Finals Gala, Top 10 in Gala, We received a total of 6 x 1st places, 7 x 2nd places , 4 x 3rd places and 1 x 6th place, in some massive sections, as well as numerous individual awards and scholarships... all will be posted over the next few days!
We also managed to squeeze in a Christmas in the Park Audition on Sunday morning!!!
To say we are proud is an understatement, this comp is phenomenal, the standard is insane, and we were blown away with the studios from all over NZ. Thank you National Dance Challenge NZ for creating such an epic Competition, thanks to Ashleigh Kohler and Ellie Ashe for their lovely positive reports, a HUGE thank you to Vanessa Kelly for the BEST costumes you could ask for, Aroha to Hoppa on props, huge respect to our amazing teachers: Melanie Bullock, Tyler Johnston and Hayley Austin for being so creative and inspiring to our students, and of course so much love to our beautiful support teams (Our families, parents, you are the best) and lastly our most amazing dancers.... you killed it this weekend and worked so so hard all weekend!
