πŸŒΌπŸ’› Daffodil Week at NELC! πŸ’›πŸŒΌ

What a bright and colourful week we’ve had at NELC celebrating Daffodil Week! Our tamariki have enjoyed getting involved in lots of yellow-themed fun, including bubble play, messy sensory experiences, creative activities and some yummy yellow pikelets for morning tea πŸŒΌπŸ’›

Our Dress Up in Yellow Day was a great success, with so many of our tamariki coming along dressed in yellow! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and NELC filled with so much yellow for the day πŸ’›βœ¨

Throughout the week, our tamariki have had plenty of opportunities to explore, create, play and have fun together, while showing our support for the Cancer Society and this special cause 🌼

It has been a lovely week of fun, smiles and plenty of yellow! πŸ’›πŸŒΌ

🏫✨ Our Eighth School Visit! ✨🏫

Today, our 3–4-year-old tamariki enjoyed their eighth transition visit to Ngatea Primary School.

The tamariki confidently explored the playground, spent time playing alongside the school children, and joined the class for mat time. Before heading back to the centre, everyone enjoyed a fruit break together.

With each visit, it is wonderful to see our tamariki becoming more familiar and confident within the school environment. These experiences continue to support their independence, relationships and sense of belonging as they prepare for their future transition to school πŸ«πŸŽπŸ’›

πŸ“šβœ¨ Another Wonderful Library Visit! βœ¨πŸ“š

Today, a group of our tamariki headed back to Hauraki District Libraries for another special Storytime session. The children settled in, listened carefully to the stories, and enjoyed taking part in the fun and interactive activities.

It was lovely to see their excitement as they explored the world of books and shared this experience together. Regular visits to our local library are a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading, support early literacy, and strengthen our connections with the wider community πŸ’›

We can’t wait for our next visit and more stories, smiles and adventures together! πŸ“–πŸŒŸ
