Ngatea Out Of School Care is looking for a new team member (or 2!)

We need an enthusiastic, vibrant, proactive, fun Out of School Care Facilitator for our after-school and school holiday programmes.

This permanent part-time role is expected to be a minimum of 12.5 hours per week during school terms, with additional hours during the school holidays. (Possible job-share option for Term only and Holiday only hours)

We want to hear from you if you:
Have a genuine interest in working with children and truly enjoy interacting with them,
Have a friendly, positive, fun disposition,
Are reliable, organised, honest and like to have fun,
Have awesome initiative, can multi-task, problem-solve and behaviour manage,
Can work well in a team and independently and can relate to a wide range of people including children, parents/caregivers, managers, teachers and volunteers.

The role:
Is not babysitting - it is guiding, interacting and engaging with the children in the programmes.
Is about caring for and supporting children and providing a safe and happy environment.
Is to help plan, organise and run a productive and encompassing programme.

Additional Requirements:
Be able to work device-free - our programme is a no-device zone.
Clean Police Clearance - under the Vulnerable Children's Act, all employees must complete a mandatory Police Vetting check.
Driver’s license and own transportation is preferred.
A current First Aid Certificate is preferred.
