This week for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Ruma Tekau mā toru had some fun learning how to not just learn single words in Te Reo Māori, but learning how to form some basic conversation between people using it. Enjoy this video they showed in assembly today (and the bloopers 😆) Kia kaha te reo māori! ❤

On Wednesday we had the pleasure of having Duffy Book Ambassador Mr Tony Laulu join us, and share with us his love for reading and writing. Mr Laulu definitely inspired our students, telling them all about the process and fun he went through in writing and publishing his own books, about the importance to him about including special moments and people to him in his stories, celebrating his Samoan culture, and about striving to give it your best shot when writing and reading. If you are interested in buying some of Tonys awesome books, they are available here: https://chiefbookseries.com/ He also helped hand out each classes Duffy Books for the term, kindly sponsored as always by the awesome people at Warehouse Stationary New Plymouth 🙏🙌 Thank you so much for your visit Tony, plenty of students benefitted from you coming to our kura. Fa'afetai lava ❤

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our students last week as they performed in our school production for 2026 🌟All staff and students had been working hard with costumes, props, acting, narrating etc over the term and it was awesome to see it all come to fruition last week. Here a few pics to check out. For those who couldnt make it, we will be sending out a link to the video of the production via students' Seesaw accounts, sometime over the next few days or so, so please keep an eye out on your childs Seesaw account. It might make for a family movie night with some Fish n Chips maybe?! 😁
