Just letting whoever follows and remembers Corey he has graded and passed his 3rd black belt today.
I decided to do the whole thing with him to remind myself what I put you guys through. After a 7 k run, line work, pad work and sparring I made it out alive, only just.
Again hope you guys are well and we miss you all.

😭😭END OF AN ERA😭😭

Last night was officially the last night of all Hurricanes Martial arts.

We officially started Hurricanes NZ in February 2014 at the bell block hall.
Over the years we have evolved and moved into our own premises in Bell block in 2017 while expanding to Wellington and in recent times Tauranga as well as moving the taranaki branch back to our roots.

Its been 1 hell of a journey with tatami competition success and also training fighters to step in the ring.

To each and everyone of you from all corners of new zealand who I have met through martial arts thank you so much for making this journey such a memorable one.
When I first moved to New Zealand I thought I had all the teaching thing figured out but the truth is I was still learning and I will always continue to learn, learning never stops, once it does so does the teaching.

My journey doesn't end here, in fact it's just getting started again.
My plan back in the UK is to get back into Tatami competitions and get some success again. (over 35s category 😁😁).

Hi Guys.

Thank you for the support you have shown me and the club throughout term 1 2022.

Over the last 3 terms it has been a very difficult time for us as a club with lockdowns, introduction of mandates etc and it's gave me and my family a lot of time to think.

Due to a change in unfortunate circumstances we have decided as a family to relocate back to the UK which is going to be a big challenge for us and its not a decision we have taken lightly.

With this in mind our classes will end at the end of term 1 2022.

I have decided not to run any more gradings as there will be no more progress after this.

For anyone who attends 1-2-1 classes I will continue to run these until mid June or when our stuff leaves for the UK. (our planned move date is 1 July).

Again I know this will come as a shock and disappointment to you guys and we have worked every avenue to stay here in New Zealand but hit a very sticky spot in life.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you that have given me the honor of teaching martial arts to your family and I wish each and everyone of you all the success in the world for your future endeavours.

Hi guys, just a reminder that the make up class will be this Sunday at the following times:-

Lil Dragons - 9.00am
Junior Freestyle - 09.30am
Adult kickboxing - 10.30am

I look forward to seeing everyone there.
We have 3 more classes left of the regular term as the last Thursday is week 10 (I only billed for a 9 week block) so I am going to use this for a beginner grade (Red, yellow and orange) grading day and anyone with missed classes can use as a make up day.

Change of venue.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are not able to use our old facility at this time due to work being carried out so I have arranged an alternative venue in the Bell Block hall, which is located behind the bell block school and opposite the warehouse.

The class times will remain the same and everyone's bookings remain in place.
