We are ākonga who have the kaha to have a go, take risks, reflect, accept and learn. You will feel:
Collaboration, tautoko, empowerment, resilience
We experience koa through self expression and self regulation, and develop our identity within the rōpū through aroha. You will feel:
Acceptance, emotional intelligence, humour, rangimārie
We acknowledge and celebrate whanaungatanga, with each other and Papa-tū-ā-nuku, recognizing our uniqueness. You will feel:
Oneness, being together, unhurried, spaciousness

Seedlings has a commitment to total nature immersion, interest-led flow learning, emergent curriculum, place-based focus, inquiry-based teaching style and authentic play. Nature Immersion is defined as “unstructured free time in nature resulting in an intimate, deep and personal connection to the natural world”. Hours of operation:
9am-3pm Monday to Friday (following school term dates & holidays). There is one 6 hour session each day. Tamariki can be enrolled for 2 or 3 or 5 days per week (This would equate to 12 or 18 or 30 hours per week respectfully). Seedlings offers 20 Hours Free ECE. Whānau can access the CCS (Child Care Subsidy) through Work & Income, further information can be found at www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz. Term dates are advised in advance, along with teacher only day dates; teachers will have a maximum of two teacher only days per year. We’d like to get to know you all before your tamariki starts Seedlings; let’s organise a time that suits for visits. We honour a sustainable lifestyle & in doing so encourage car pooling to Seedlings, or having your tamariki picked up in the Seedlings van. (Please be aware of our Transportation Policy).

We celebrated by planting a white sage and kowhai tree....both gifted to us by tamariki who have recently had their Sapling Ceremonies and are now beginningtheir next chapterof education...it felt fitting to plant them today in both celebration and remembrance.
