Making memories together, the West End way! What a way to end the school term with our Fancy Dress - dance, music, costumes… we had it all! A huge thanks to our staff for their hard work preparing and to our tamariki for their dedication to practices! Thank you to all our families and friends for coming and joining in the fun. Always something ‘on the boil’ at West End 👍.

As part of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori our Kapa Hapa roopu, fresh from Tatarakihi festival, performed some impromptu waiata and haka in town. They delighted many going about their daily lives and drew a bit of a crowd from Puke Ariki staff and people passing by! A huge thanks to Matua Pete, Matua Warren and Whaea Carri-Anne for making this possible. So proud of our amazing students!

What a fantastic Glow Disco our Fundraising and Social Committee put on for us last week! The kids had so much fun (and the adults too). Having fun and dancing to our favourite tunes - West End style!

Wow! Our superstar basketball players are absolute legends! Winners of their Y5/6 section, with a final win against Woodleigh. A HUGE thanks to coach Stephen for his coaching, guidance and belief in his players. We are so proud of these students, the dedication they’ve shown and the way they have represented our school. Wow! Over half of our school has signed up to play a sport for our school in term 4! And 26 of that group are playing multiple sports! A huge thanks to our parents for stepping up and managing/coaching teams and to our 4 staff making this happen for our students. On offer is summer soccer, spring into summer hockey, cricket, touch and netball.
We would like to make a HUGE thank you to our fantastic Fundraising Committee who have purchased 70 new sports tops for us. Due to the large quantity playing sport next term, we didn’t have enough shirts! Fit, active and healthy… West End style!!

Parenting Unpacked offers free one-on-one sessions with a Parent Coach, a private and judgement-free space for parents and caregivers to talk through whatever is going on for them, whether big or small. Sessions are free of cost and run every Monday during term. Bookings are essential.

We are super grateful to the Taranaki Dental Association for raising money to provide toothbrushes and toothpaste to all our students! How lucky were the kids that Elsa, Sparkles and Spider Man helped deliver them. The message was loud and clear - brush your teeth twice a day, drink water instead of juices and sugary drinks and eat healthy food.
