Here are some demerit point offences:
📱 Using phone while driving = 20
🚗 Speeding = 10+
🚫 Breaching licence conditions = 25+
🛑 No stop at stop sign = 20
⚠️ No L plates = 25
📄 No rego on your vehicle = 20

If you’re on your restricted and receive demerit points, your restricted period could be extended by another 6 months EACH time 😳

If you’re doing ‘booze maths’… you probably shouldn’t be driving 😵‍💫

🇳🇿 NZ alcohol limits:
• Under 20 = zero alcohol
• 20+ = 250 micrograms per litre of breath or 50mg per 100ml of blood

Penalties can include fines, 50 demerit points, losing your licence, criminal charges, and even prison for serious offending.

But personally? I think the safest option is simple: If you drink, don’t drive EVER!!

Are they driving too slow… or are you just driving too fast… 🧐

Not every “slow driver” is a bad driver.

They might be a learner.
They might be elderly.
They may be anxious.
They might just be driving cautiously in conditions you haven’t noticed.

Safe driving isn’t only about skill.
It’s also about patience.

Like it or not lane splitting happens. Motorbikes are easy to miss… especially in heavy traffic.

They can move between lanes and appear quickly.

• Check mirrors more often
• Check your blind spot before moving
• Expect bikes in slow traffic

We can’t stop them doing it but we can be ready for it.

Look twice. It matters.

• Signal early, not late
• Let others know what you're doing
