We are located on the outskirts of New Plymouth with most students coming from the suburb of Highlands Park and nearby country areas.

Mr Hodge is excited to return to Mangorei — and he hopes to see plenty of familiar faces at the Centenary Dinner! 💚

Saturday 24 October will be all about reconnecting. There will be plenty of time throughout the evening to talk, mingle, reminisce and share fond memories with past students, staff and members of the Mangorei community while enjoying a lovely dinner together.

After dinner, speeches and all the formalities, our live band will take the stage for those who are keen to finish the night with a boogie! 🎶 Dancing is completely optional — you’re just as welcome to continue catching up and enjoying the company.

✨ If these walls could talk…

When a mirror was removed from the old girls’ toilet block, a secret tradition was uncovered—a collection of signatures from Year 8 girls dating from around 2014 to 2024!

It seems the girls would carefully remove the mirror, add their names to the wall, then put it back before the teachers found out. 🤫 Do you recognise any of the names, or were you part of this tradition?

The Mangorei 100 Years Committee has been uncovering some amazing memories from across the school’s history, with plenty more still to share. Make sure you’re following the Mangorei School 100 years page so you don’t miss them!

Registrations are also open for the centenary celebrations. Past and present students, staff and parents are all invited to come along and help us celebrate this special milestone. 💚

Calling all former Mangorei students, staff, families and friends—it’s time to gather your crew! 💚

On Saturday 24 October, we’re coming together at the New Plymouth Club for a very special evening celebrating 100 years of Mangorei School.

Expect delicious food, stories and speeches from past and present, plenty of laughs, entertainment and dancing to finish the night.

Tables seat up to eight people, so message your old classmates, school friends, former colleagues or Mangorei families and organise your table!

Don’t have a full group of eight? That’s absolutely fine. You can book several seats together or purchase an individual ticket at a shared table and enjoy the evening with friends old and new.
