Crammond Cup Inter-House Competition - End of Term 3 Update

Over the past two weeks, we have held the Winter Sport & Culture and Singing competitions.

Congratulations to Syme House, winners of the Winter Sport & Culture afternoon, and Donnelly House, winners of the Singing Competition.

Coming up in Term 4: Engagement, Attendance and GPA results will contribute to the overall Crammond Cup competition.

Warm Pasifika Greetings,

Our village continues to grow! Another Fono, another opportunity to celebrate achievements, connect, share, learn, and simply enjoy being together.

Connection is at the heart of our Fono. With every Fono, I feel something special is happening. We are becoming more comfortable with one another, more open, more welcoming, and more willing to share our stories, our ideas, and our experiences.

Our teachers, school leaders, Pasifika families, and students are getting to know each other better. We are beginning to build those relationships that make a village strong, relationships built on respect, trust, understanding, and a willingness to support one another.

There is something beautiful about coming together, sharing kai, having a talanoa, listening to one another, and just enjoying being in the same space.

There is still work to do and barriers to shift, but I can genuinely feel a growing sense of belonging, understanding and connection amongst us. And for me, that is one of the most exciting parts of what we are building together.

We are also seeing more and more new faces at each Fono. Every new face brings another story, another connection, another relationship, and another opportunity for our village to become stronger.

It was wonderful to welcome and hear from Theresa Tongi and the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and Lalanga group, Taranaki Rugby Union, Downer Company, our School Board members, Taranaki Referees Association, Sacred Heart Girls’ College Pasifika Group, and, of course, our own Pasifika families.

Having people from different parts of our community come together reminds us of the strength that comes from connection. The more we connect, the more we learn about one another, appreciate what each person brings, and recognise the opportunities we have to support each other.

This is what a village is about. It's a beautiful thing!!
