WE NEED YOU!
So, who is this Taranaki Science and Technology Fair organisation anyway? We are a group of 14 volunteers who meet once a month and beaver away in our own time to make the fair happen every year! The fair is a Not-For-Profit organisation and relies on the generosity of our committee members, as well as our awesome sponsors. See some of them 'in action' in the photos below.
** TREASURER **
We are currently looking for a new treasurer to take over in 2027. This is not a complex or horrendously time consuming role, but it does need you to be available on judging/prizegiving day to ensure all the prizes are accurate and available for the students at prizegiving. Are you a little bit numbers savvy and want to be a part of giving away $25,000+ in prize money to students every year? ๐ฒ
** SECRETARY **
Need a regular night out? We'd love to steal you away from your family once a month to come along to the committee meetings and keep us all on track. We need a secretary to assist the Fair Manager with running meetings and minute taking. ๐๏ธ
** CHAIR PERSON **
Due to retirement, this position has become available on the committee. We meet once a month and need a chief in charge of meetings. Note that we do have a Fair Manager who does the hard graft, so the role is more around committee leadership. Please get in touch for a job description. ๐งโโ๏ธ
If you or someone you know are even vaguely interested, please email [email protected] for job descriptions or discuss details.
