Wanted to do this wee experiment to see how much it would cost if I was to buy a whole deers worth of meat from the supermarket theoretically. This really should encourage us to get out into the bush and get back into hunting and gathering to help save us money in the cost of living crisis we are in, Not only are you feeding you and your family with the meat you harvest but you are doing your bit to help protect our natives wild life and help with pest control. You can’t get a more sustainable meat. Just a wee disclaimer you’re not allowed to sell wild meat here in New Zealand but you are allowed to give it away to family members and friends.
