Bring your baby or preschooler along to your nearest centre 17-21 August and experience our supportive community.

Your child will enjoy a range of play experiences, from messy and outdoor play to arts, music, and water exploration.

At Playcentre, early learning is a shared journey. For over 85 years, we’ve supported parents as the first and best educators for their tamariki, which is why parents attend and learn alongside their children, helping build confidence, connection, and belonging.

You’ll also gain access to a free NZQA-accredited adult education programme, helping you build practical parenting skills and strategies to support your child’s learning.

Coloured balls, pipes, and a tough tray = endless fun!
Tamariki experimented with dropping balls into the pipes and watching them zoom down to the tray. So much curiosity and joy in action.

Wontons were on the menu at Playcentre today. Tamariki used playdough to create their own versions. Great imaginative play throughout the morning!

Miss E took charge of her play today, building an great train and road track setup using all the pieces at Playcentre. Love seeing her confidence grow as she leads her own learning. 🚂🛣️💛

A rainy day at home can feel endless… but not at Playcentre.
Our undercover outdoor space means the play never stops — today the tamariki were busy mixing, pouring, cooking, and creating all kinds of messy magic.

The sandpit was the place to be today! Our tamariki teamed up to build a mighty volcano, which soon transformed into a bustling machinery construction zone. So much collaboration, creativity, and messy fun — exactly what we love to see at Playcentre. 🌋🚜
