Massive shout out to the Tāpitomata crew and Fulton Hogan. Total legends who helped us move back to Washington Road today!
It's still not finished 🤦🏼♀️ but time for us to let St Peter's Atawhai have their space back.
HUGE mihi to the Nelson Anglican Diocese for putting us up for two terms while we were homeless. We have so appreciated your awesome space and could not have carried on without your generosity.
We have to thank Roger and Duane from Nelmac who have worked tirelessly to get our whare so close to ready.
Here's photo of us starting to settle back in...🤩

This week, we found out that we will definitely be out of our premises until late August. Nelson Council has already stripped out the insides of the building to allow it to dry out, and will carry out the remainder of the property remediation works.
In the meantime we’ve been working out of a local church hall, which has required us to pack in and out every day. Thankfully it looks like we’re very close to finding somewhere that we will be able to base ourselves until August. Rangatahi and staff are managing well despite the upheaval, but we’re looking forward to being more settled for the immediate future!
We’re really grateful for the awhi shown by so many, including Nelson Youth Council, the Dugdale Charitable Trust, Nelson Action Centre, and everyone who has shared and donated to our Givealittle page. Nga mihi!

After the excitement of last week, we will need to replace appliances, learning equipment, computers, and other needed resources.
We have set up a givealittle. If you feel comforting supporting us in this way, or sharing the link with those who might, it would be so appreciated.

Massive thanks to everyone who has reached out in support since the devastation of Monday's floods. Everyone has been asking how they can help, and there will definitely be jobs and practical awhi needed over the coming months while we are without our whare. The pictures show where walls and flooring have been stripped out to allow the building to dry out.
Thanks to St Barnabas in Stoke who have come to the rescue with their hall for us to use until the end of next week, and Victory Boxing, Nelson, New Zealand who were first on the ground at our place to awhi Tuesday and have offered up their space for our rangatahi in their 'gaps'.
Ki te kotahi te kākaho, ka whati; ki te kāpuia, e kore e whati. When we stand alone we are vulnerable, but together we are unbreakable.

Massive thanks to Action Centre Richmond who gave our rangatahi a chance to play and reset on Wednesday this week after the flood dramas of Monday!
