🍕 Little chefs at work! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
The tamariki had so much fun making their own pizzas! They cut up the toppings, loved spreading the sauce, sprinkling the cheese, and choosing their favourite toppings to create their own delicious masterpieces.
Preparing their own food helps build confidence, independence, creativity, and fine motor skills. It also encourages children to explore a variety of healthy ingredients and make positive choices that help nourish their growing bodies.
The best part was sitting down together to enjoy the pizzas they made from scratch—a delicious way to learn, create, and fuel their bodies for more play and discovery! 😋🍕❤️

What a fantastic day we've had at our Pyjama & Movie Day! Everyone arrived in their comfiest pyjamas, ready to relax and enjoy a special screening of Chicken Run. There were plenty of laughs, smiles, and cosy vibes all around!
A huge thank you to our wonderful chef for preparing a delicious Nourish snack that everyone enjoyed while watching the movie. It was the perfect treat to make our movie day extra special.
Days like these are all about having fun together and creating happy memories. 💕🎬

What better way to keep warm this winter than with our MOVE physical activity programme!
Our tamariki and kaiako have been jumping, hopping, skipping, and everything in between as they continue to develop thriving minds, active bodies, and nurtured hearts.
Through fun and intentional physical activities, we have been focusing on fundamental movement skills that build confidence, coordination, gross motor skills, and spatial awareness. It has been wonderful to see our tamariki (and Kaiako) enthusiastically embracing every challenge while staying active and engaged throughout the colder months.
"We love seeing our tamariki grow, move, and thrive every day!" 😊

Since turning our room into a farm, we have been enjoying lots of farm-related stories together. One favourite has been The Little Red Hen.
After reading the story, the tamariki asked if they could make some bread. I asked them, “Who will help me do all the jobs needed to make the bread?” “We will!” the tamariki eagerly replied.
It has been wonderful to see the children taking the meaning of the story and applying it to their own experiences. They are demonstrating an understanding of working together, sharing responsibilities, and contributing to our room community. Seeing the values and rituals we foster in our environment reflected in their play and learning is truly special.
What a fantastic example of literacy inspiring real-life learning! 🍞🐔🌾

🎨 Paintbrushes in hand and imaginations at work!

Our Kākāpō tamariki are really enjoying painting experiences at the moment, exploring colours, creativity, and self-expression while having lots of fun. We can’t wait to see where their artistic adventures take them next! 🎨✨

There’s something so special about seeing the little moments from the centre continue to grow at home 🌻

Back in March, our tamariki planted sunflower seeds together, and it has been so lovely to see them now thriving in the gardens and homes of our whānau. Watching the children nurture and care for their plants has been such a wonderful reminder of how meaningful these shared learning experiences can be.

Please keep sharing your photos with us — we love seeing how they’re growing! 🌻
