We are an early childcare centre, providing excellent care & education for children in Nelson.

We are a high quality early childcare centre in the heart of Nelson, situated at 400 Hardy Street East, right across the road from the Centre of New Zealand, a large park and green space. We operate out of two premises side by side: A specialised infant and toddler centre in a renovated villa... a real 'home away from home' for your infant or toddler, with lush gardens, spacious and peaceful play rooms and even fire places to keep warm on those colder days! And a purpose built centre catering for children two to six years in age appropriate learning rooms with a attached outside ‘garden’.

🌿🌱 Wahoo! Our little garden is starting to fruit! 🍓✨

Our Under Twos are loving spending time in our outdoor environment, exploring, discovering and enjoying all the little wonders nature has to offer. 💚 There’s something extra exciting about seeing our garden start to fruit, and we can’t wait to see those little treats appear! 😍🍓

🚲🛴 Wheels Day at Busy Bees Hardy Street! 🛴🚲

What a wheely wonderful day! Our tamariki enjoyed getting active, practising their balance and coordination, and developing confidence as they zoomed, scooted and explored on their wheels. 🌟

Wheels Day was a fantastic opportunity to support physical wellbeing, movement and active play — all while having lots of fun together! ❤️

🍕❤️ Pizza Making Day was a hit! ❤️🍕

Today our tamariki had lots of fun creating their own pizzas while learning about healthy choices and looking after our hearts as part of our Healthy Heart focus.

The tamariki chose their own toppings, explored a variety of ingredients and enjoyed getting hands-on with their food. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk about how colourful vegetables, fresh ingredients and a balanced range of foods help keep our bodies strong and our hearts healthy. 🥦🍅🫑

Most importantly, the tamariki enjoyed being involved in preparing and sharing food together — making healthy eating fun and meaningful! 🌟

🏃‍♀️💨 Day Two – MOVE Day! 💨🏃‍♂️

What a fantastic day of movement, energy and fun at Busy Bees Hardy Street! Our tamariki got active, challenged themselves and enjoyed plenty of opportunities to MOVE, play and learn together. 💪✨

Our MOVE experiences support tamariki to develop physical confidence, coordination, balance and teamwork — all while having a whole lot of fun! ❤️

What a magical way to kick off Week Two of our School Holiday Programme.

Today our tamariki stepped into a world of Disney magic, dressing up as their favourite Disney characters and bringing their imaginations to life! From princesses and heroes to some much-loved favourites, we had a day full of creativity, laughter and plenty of magical moments. 🧚‍♀️🦸‍♂️👑

🐝🕺 DAY FIVE – BEE GROOVY! 🌈🎶

What a way to finish the week at Busy Bees Hardy Street! Our tamariki and Kaiako brought the colour, energy and plenty of fabulous dance moves for our Bee Groovy Day! Some of our whanau even had to dance their way into the centre. 💃🪩✨

From bright outfits to spontaneous dance parties, our Centre was buzzing with laughter, music, creativity and confidence. We loved seeing everyone express themselves, get involved and simply enjoy the moment! 🥰🐝

🧸🌿 DAY FOUR of our School Holiday Programme – Teddy Bears’ Picnic! 🌿🧸

What a wonderful day we’ve had at Busy Bees Hardy Street! Our tamariki brought along their favourite teddy bears for a day filled with picnic adventures, connection, imagination and plenty of fun. 🧺🐻💛 We loved seeing our tamariki sharing their special furry friends and creating beautiful memories together.

We loved seeing the imagination, laughter and confidence shine through as everyone embraced the wacky hair challenge! 🥰

🧁✨ Day Two of our Holiday Programme – Cupcake Decorating! ✨🧁

The creativity continued today at Busy Bees Hardy Street as our tamariki got stuck into the sweetest part of our holiday programme — decorating cupcakes! 🎨🧁

With colorful icing and lots of imagination, our tamariki had the opportunity to create, experiment and proudly showcase their delicious creations. It was wonderful to see the concentration, creativity and excitement as each cupcake became uniquely their own!

What a sweet way to spend Day Two! 🧁❤️✨
