As well as being our 85th Anniversary, this year also marks a significant milestone for NZSL: 20 years since NZSL was recognised as an official language of Aotearoa New Zealand!

New Zealand Sign Language Week is not just a celebration; it’s a moment for the Deaf community to stand tall, embracing their identity and heritage. It’s a time to showcase the richness of NZSL and the diverse culture it represents.

We are so excited to open our doors for another term of play-based adventures here at Enner Glynn Playcentre! Our sessions run Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 9am - 1pm and Tuesdays 9am - 12pm. To arrange a visit, email us - [email protected].

What a lovely way to wrap up Term 1 at Enner Glynn Playcentre 🐣🌿

This afternoon we enjoyed a special Easter get-together filled with shared kai, Easter crafts, and of course a very exciting Easter egg hunt! 🍫🎨🐰

It was such a nice way to come together and celebrate the end of what has been a really special first term. We’ve loved seeing so much learning, laughter, connection, and play throughout the term, and we’re so grateful to all the whānau who have been part of it.

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, and relaxing Easter break — we hope you enjoy some special time with your loved ones, and we look forward to seeing you back next term! 💛

A little snapshot of a week in the life at Enner Glynn Playcentre — and what a special one it’s been! 🌿

From curious minds to busy little hands, this week has been full of exploration, creativity, and connection ✨

We dove into some fun science experiments, sparking wonder and excitement as tamariki discovered how things work. We also had a very special moment as we set free our monarch butterflies after watching them grow and hatch 🦋

We enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Higgins Heritage Park — a family of museums home to a wide range of exhibits, from hand tools to New Zealand’s largest portable steam engine. It was a huge hit with our tamariki!

The adventures continued outside with a dinosaur bone hunt in the sandpit, where imagination ran wild and little explorers got stuck right in 🦖

And to top it all off, we’ve started getting into the Easter spirit, painting blown-out eggs and enjoying the first of our themed activities 🐣🎨

And that’s just a glimpse… there’s been so much more laughter, learning, and play woven throughout our days.
