What an amazing achievement from Y North, congratulations to everyone involved

Congratulations to YMCA North, The Y – Camp Adair, NZ, winner of the World YMCA Impact Award 2026 in the Sustainable Planet category! Their project is the Te Wairoa River Restoration Project, a community-led ecological restoration initiative to restore the Te Wairoa River.

In case you haven’t noticed, we got a fancy new door handle and lock. In the next few weeks we will be trialling having a pin for families who enter after 4pm in the afternoon. We will keep you updated when this happens

This little YKids master chef in the making is blending learning with manaakitanga, mixing up a delicious cake to share sweetness and care with everyone.

Massive shout out to Simon and the team at Nelson Heat Pumps for installing our new heat pumps in the classrooms. The team were friendly, efficient and flexible during the installation. Thanks team, we'll be nice and toasty this winter.
