We cater for children aged 0-5 years old in a fun, safe and friendly environment. The YMCA values of trust, honesty, caring and responsibility are the foundations not only for our philosophy but also for our programmes. We aim to support children to grow and learn in a safe, fun and friendly environment and to develop strong, reciprocal relationships with others.

Thank you Hampden Street School for welcoming us for a transition to kura visit. These are wonderful opportunities for tamariki to explore and become familiar with their new school environment. Our tamariki enjoyed exploring the playgrounds, the new outdoor learning class, playing ball, seeing the swimming pool, library and hall. We were able to visit a classroom and even spy on the room some of the tamariki will be going to next term.

We enjoy termly visits to Victory School as well. And, this year we were lucky enough to visit Nelson Central School as well.

We were very lucky to have been one of 50 centres/schools to have been gifted a new Toniebox. Our tamariki were super excited to unbox it and can't wait to listen to some cool stories and songs. This was a Toniebox New Zealand community initiative led by Abby and Kim. We are so appreciative and feel very lucky to have received one. It's a wonderful addition to our calm space.
