Due to the closure of Brightwater School, our After-School Care Programme will also be closed today.

The safety of our tamariki, families, and staff is our top priority. We encourage everyone to take care while travelling during this wet and challenging weather.

We're facing a funding crisis — and we need your help to keep going.

The reality is hard. Across Aotearoa, charities like ours are feeling the squeeze as funding shrinks and community need grows. We're not alone in this, but right now, we need our own community to show up for us.

Nelson Environment Centre needs to raise $40,000 by end of June to keep the programme running.

We’re on the lookout for some sporting equipment to keep our tamariki active and having fun in our after-school care programmes!

If you have any spare gear lying around at home—soccer balls, rugby balls, basketballs, or anything similar—that could use a new home, we would absolutely love to take it off your hands 🙌

Hi OSCAR families!

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow at the holiday programme we have some super exciting activities planned — including our Colour Run! 🎉 It’s going to be lots of fun, but it can get a little messy, so please make sure your children come dressed in clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty or stained.

We’ll also be doing tie dye, so there will be plenty of chances for creativity (and colour!) throughout the day. We can’t wait to see all the bright, happy faces enjoying the fun! 🌈

🐴 OSCAR Holiday Programme Tomorrow 🐴

Just a reminder for all whānau with children attending tomorrow – we will be heading off for horse riding at 9:30am sharp. Please ensure your child arrives before this time so they don’t miss out!

👉 Children will also need to wear appropriate clothing and closed-in shoes for this activity.
