🌟 What a great start to the school holidays! 🌟

We’ve had an awesome first couple of days at our Holiday Programme!

🎨 Yesterday was all about getting creative!
The kids had loads of fun trying making clay creations, and creating artwork using puff paint, bubble wrap art and crayon melts. There were some fantastic creations — check them out! 👀🎨

🤸 Today we were off to the trampoline park!
There was plenty of bouncing, jumping, laughing and burning off energy. We’re pretty sure there will be some tired kids tonight after all that jumping! 😴

🔨 Tomorrow is DIY Day!
We can’t wait to see what our little builders create!

What a way to kick off the holidays — and there’s still plenty more fun to come! 💙

🎾⚽🏀 Can You Help Our OSCAR Programmes? 🎶

We’re on the hunt for a few resources for our Y Nelson After School Care programmes, and we thought we’d reach out to our wonderful community! 💛

We’re currently looking for:

🎶 Ukuleles
🎾 Tennis balls
⚽ Soccer balls
🏀 Basketballs
🏐 Netballs
🪁 Kites

If you have any of these sitting around at home that are no longer being used and are still in good condition, we would absolutely love to give them a new home and put them to good use with our tamariki! 🌟

Every little bit helps us keep our programmes fun, active and full of opportunities for the kids.

If you’re able to help, please pop us a message. And even if you don’t have anything to donate, we’d really appreciate you sharing this post with your friends, whānau or community groups to help us spread the word! 💛

A huge thank you from our Y Nelson OSCAR team! 🙌

🌟 What an AMAZING Holiday Programme it's been! 🌟

As our holiday programme comes to an end, we just want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our awesome tamariki and whānau for making it so much fun! 💛

From 🛼 roller skating to 🎂 cake decorating, 🕺 disco dancing to 🌈 tie-dyeing, and an exciting adventure at 🦁 Natureland... we've laughed, created, explored, danced, and made so many incredible memories together. Honestly, we've done it all! 🎉

The smiles, friendships, creativity, and endless energy have made these holidays one to remember. We hope everyone heads back to school for Term 3 feeling happy, refreshed, confident, and ready for another fantastic term of learning.

Thank you for being part of the journey—we can't wait to do it all again next holidays! Until then, enjoy the rest of the break, and we'll see you all again soon! 💙✨

We had a lovely start to our holiday programme yesterday with our artist challenge and clay creation day. The children worked really hard on there art works. We were also able to pop outside in between the wind gusts for some time on the playground. Congratulations to our top three artists of the day Tracey, Caleb and Clara.
