Ranzau School Kapa Haka students participated in the Cultural Festival at Waimea College this week. They represented our school with pride and enthusiasm. They put the mahi in at their rehearsals and it really showed on the day! โœจ

Last week our year 3 & 4 hockey tournament team travelled to Saxtonโ€™s Field to participate in the Tasman Primary School Hockey Tournament. Both teams were undefeated ๐Ÿ‘ and showed such great sportsmanship throughout the day โœจ

Our classrooms have been buzzing with creativity as our students explore the meaning and magic of Matariki, the Mฤori New Year. โœจ

From beautiful artwork and star-themed crafts to storytelling, waiata (songs), and learning about the nine stars of Matariki, our tamariki have been deepening their understanding of this special time of reflection, renewal, and connection.

This week our students had a visit from the NED Show.

NED is a loveable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for
๐๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฎ๐ฉ, ๐„๐ง๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐จ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ.

We were lucky enough to have this show 'paid forward' from another School - in return the students can purchase Yo-Yos through the NED program which fund then next 'pay it forward' for another School! (see the School office if you didn't see the information sheet about this and are interested)
