Kia ora koutou/Greetings All,

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the unexpected passing of one of our beloved parents, a father, Kieran Hambrook. 😢 😔

Kieran was a much-loved part of our Nelson South Kindergarten community. He will be deeply missed for the many chats and updates he shared with the teaching team, always taking the time to connect and tell us about what was happening in his family's world. We loved hearing about his latest adventures and explorations, whether he was out biking, running, or taking on a new challenge.

Kieran also had a thoughtful and generous nature. He would often bring treats and chocolates for the teachers, always making sure our sugar levels were topped up and bringing smiles to our faces. It was one of the many small acts of kindness that reflected the caring person he was.

Kieran was a devoted and loving dad to his beautiful girls, Eden and Olivia, and it was clear in everything he shared how proud he was of them. He was also a wonderful husband to his wife, Jess, and together they created a caring and loving family.

Our thoughts, love, and aroha are with Jess, Eden, Olivia, and all of Kieran's whānau and friends during this incredibly difficult time. We hope they find comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared together and in knowing how deeply Kieran was respected and appreciated by everyone whose lives he touched.

Kieran's celebration of life will be held today, Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. at Headingly Church, Headingly Lane, Richmond.

He will be greatly missed by all of us at Nelson South Kindergarten.
