4 pots = 2 x Easy DIY worm farms
*a compact way to dispose of veggie food waste
*A clever way to to improve your soil with little effort.
*Upcycle some matching size plant pots
*Dig a hole in your veggie beds, add a pot backfill
*Add daily scraps (no meat lemons or onions) and stack the second pot on top,
*Let nature do its thing
Sit back and the worms come to the party
I have 2 systems running at once so I dont over load one, and alternate which one I add to.
I also add used toilet roll inners sawdust or shredded paper.
When a bin is nearly full I pull it out and swap with an almost empty one, put the full one on top of it and add scraps to the bottom one, this will drive the worms deeper and into the new bottom bin/pot.
Give it time .... you now have a bin of worm castings.
Nutrition for the soil in many ways.
