Friday!
The week is just about done, and wow what another amazing week it has been.

Waving a big hello to all my fellow music therapists in the big city this weekend - conference is a great time to connect with our community.
With only around 106 registered music therapists across the motu, its an exciting time to get together.
Last month I was elected as a music therapy nz board member, so ill be catching up online in my first meeting at the tail end of all the conference chatter.

But for now, I'm in my happy place at The Nest, finishing my mini album for release on bandcamp soon.

Update: make that the day! The roads are terrible

-And that is Outreach and The Nest is closed for the morning! With lots of flooding yesterday, the road is closed, and I am heading back from Reefton, via Kaikoura 🙄

Rest in Peace, Dolly 🌹
Such an incredible musician and a one of a kind personality. What sad news to wake up to today. Growing up, Dolly was alway just there.. Steel Magnolias, 9 to 5 - writing the theme to The Bodyguard (yes, I will always love you is a Dolly song). Islands in the stream with Kenny Rogers (one of my Mum's favourites). I always loved Little Sparrow. Interview and performances were always such a feature - you stopped what you were doing and listened.
Wit, Charisma, Determination, all rolled into one.
Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
