Introducing Delwyn and Paul McKennie who are our local owners with a passion for the education of our children!

“It’s a pleasure to introduce myself. I’m
Delwyn a Napier/Taradale local of over 20 years. I’m a teacher and have been working in the early childhood space on and off for 18 years. Paul and I saw an opportunity to develop an authentic local feel to these centres by increasing our community engagement and building on established relationships. We genuinely care about our tamariki and as parents of 5 grown up children we know what the daily life of a young family can be like. Paul and I welcome your input and feedback so that we can deliver a service that reflects the needs of our whānau.”

🌈 🌈 🌈 Teaching children to “eat the rainbow” helps their growing bodies get a complete range of nutrients. Our centre meals are lovingly prepared every day to ensure tamariki not only eat a range of different coloured foods, but also foods that are minimally processed and made from fresh, real and wholesome ingredients.

Here is a helpful framework to get conversations going with littlies at mealtimes:

We are passionate about providing nutritious meals for the children at our centre. Mealtimes are a time where children come together and enjoy the kai that has been lovingly prepared for them ☀🥝 Not only are our recipes dietitian approved but they have been designed using the NZ Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award for Early Learning Centres. 👍♥

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

The power of Cyclone Gabrielle has impacted everyone and we hope you are safe and well. We have completed important health and safety checks at Dot Kids Greenmeadows Nursery and we are delighted to confirm that tomorrow the centre will be operating tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a lunch box day. Please bring a lunch box for your child.

This means that from tomorrow (Monday 20th Feb) Dot Kids Greenmeadows Nursery will be open normal operating hours, and your attendance can resume as normal. We can’t wait to bring back for your whānau a sense of normalcy during turbulent times.

Our team look forward to seeing you back at the centre tomorrow. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the centre team.

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Whānau,

Like most, we have been monitoring the updated local advice in regards to Cyclone Gabrielle, and specifically the impact on our centres, power and roads. At the forefront of our decision making continues to the safety of children, staff, and families.

Our thoughts are with you at this challenging time.

We have made the decision to close Dot Kids Greenmeadows Nursery tomorrow – Friday 17 February. At this stage we are hopeful of reopening your centre on Monday 20 February.

We apologise for the disruption that this may be causing your family. Road closures, power and water disruptions mean that we cannot operate with our normal stringent health and safety standards.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update you with information for the remaining week and if anything changes.

Please continue to monitor our communications closely – we will advise you via Storypark so please ensure that notifications are switched on for Storypark posts and announcements.
We will be back to supporting you fully as soon as we are able.
