Open Your Home and Host an International Student in 2026

We are looking for welcoming families to host international students arriving this July and October.

Our new students are keen to get involved in the Hawke’s Bay community and lifestyle. Sporting interests include basketball, football, hockey, sailing, roller hockey, surf life-saving, tennis, rugby and in particular golf.

We offer flexible hosting durations to suit your family:
Short Stay: 2 months
Medium Term: 5 & 9 months
Long Term: 1 year

Hosting is a rewarding experience with competitive remuneration and full support from our International Team.

Are you interested or someone you know interested in sharing your home and culture with a young man from another part of the world? 🌍

We are proactively building our network of host families to ensure we can provide a comfortable "home away from home" for our future international students. These students often come from countries like Germany, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Switzerland, France, and Argentina, and your family could be their first experience of New Zealand life!

To ensure we are ready for students arriving in Term 4 of 2025 and into Term 1 of 2026, we are inviting interested families to register with us now. All host families will be part of a robust and supportive process, including:

Day 2 of the orientation done for these boys. We took them out for a ride around the coastal trails. Back Monday for the pōwhiri and learning the school haka.

Wednesday saw the PLUS+ Program boys out on the Mohaka River under the guidance of Mohaka Rafting. A stunning day made the boys keen to swim down any stretch of flat water between the rapids.
