Wendy Margret Person (née Walker)

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Wendy Margaret Person (née Walker) on August 26, 2026, at the age of 84.

Wendy was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Paul Person. She was a deeply cherished mother to Linda and Carol, and a wonderfully proud and loving Grandma to her grandchildren: Matteo, Antonio, Jack, and Sam. She will also be dearly missed by her loving siblings Peter and Barrie, alongside her wide circle of treasured friends whose lives she touched so deeply over the years.

Memorial Details

A Memorial Celebration to honour Wendy’s remarkable life will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026, in the Magdalinos Room, at Havelock North Function Centre, 30 Te Mata Road, Havelock North.

Tributes and Donations

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Support, reflecting Wendy's appreciation for their wonderful Enliven programme.

Hey team , If your child goes to the Bledisloe Centre on Friday and they are doing spooner shield tomorrow, can you please arrange with your school for them stay behind and just come straight to care. Makes it a whole lot easier on us . Thank you xo
