Kia ora whānau
We are delighted to announce that Keryn Lindsay, Kiki (currently Pukekō Room Team Leader) as agreed to act as our Sunny Days Centre Manager in a fixed term role between Monday 24 August 2026 and Friday 26 February 2027.
Please reach out and say hi when you see her. Kiki has already been leading staffing and rosters over the last month, which has been greatly appreciated. Kiki has worked as a leader at Sunny Days for three years and has a passion for and commitment to teaching and leading in ECE.
We are working as quickly as we can to back fill the Team Leader role for the Pukekō room during this this time. In the interim, please see Kiki in the first instance until that occurs.
A huge mihi to all of our staff who have stepped up, worked extra hours, merged rooms and rolled their sleeves up over the last few weeks. We are super pleased to report that our tamariki and kaiako who have been ill are on the mend. We are looking forward to having fun in the sun over the coming weeks.
We would also like to take this time to thank you all for your flexibility and understanding with room merges, and creative staffing solutions over the last few weeks, and for keeping tamariki home when they are unwell to preserve the health of other tamariki and kaiako.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend. We hope to see more happy and healthy faces back next week.
