Little Magpies Childcare Centre At Little Magpies Childcare Centre we value learning! We have three separate learning environments designed to support individual children’s learning.

We provide lunches and nappies and our hours are flexible to parents needs. Feel welcome to drop in anytime to have a look around!

Today we began at mat time with respectful introductions. Saying our name then naming the person beside us. Turn taking, listening and using correct names.
“Ko ………… ahau” (I am …………), then “Ko ………… tenei” (This is ……….).
The Magpies respected- setting up, drawing, sitting to read, construction, self face paint, looking after our belongings, obstacle course waiting, sandpit play, team work, dressing up, dancing, carpentry building, messy play, Duck, Duck, Goose game and helping to tidy up.

Another successful daffodil day in the kiwi room. Once again a huge thank you to all our whānau who helped to make it a great day. We have raised about $50 🥳🌼
Thanks also to our friend baby shark who called in for a quick visit

“Yellow is the colour of sunshine, happiness and energy”.

Friday was our Daffodil Day, and we dressed up in yellow. This was warm, fun and filled us with contentment. The kaiako set up many experiences to do with kōwhai, art, messy play, decorations much much more, including (a friendly) baby shark.
The Sullivan whānau donated freshly picked daffodils and these were beautiful.
Enjoy the photos, we enjoyed our day, and raised $63, and still counting…..
