☀️ A Sunshine-Filled Day of Learning & Play! ☀️
What a wonderful day we’ve had at Kylie’s in home whānau! 💕 The sunshine was shining, the laughter was flowing, and the tamariki and I enjoyed a beautiful day of learning, exploring and playing together outdoors. 🌿☀️
Kylie set up lots of different play stations to explore, including sensory foam play, Orbeez, water play and sand play. The tamariki absolutely loved getting amongst the messy foam — there were lots of giggles, exploring and hands-on learning as we squished, scooped and played! 😍🫧
After our exciting visit with the firefighters yesterday, where we met the firefighters and even got to sit inside a real fire engine 🚒, I decided to extend our learning today. We read stories about fire safety, created our very own fire story using felt pictures and talked about what we can do to stay safe if there is ever a fire. 🔥
We even practised our very own fire drill! 🚨 The tamariki did such a fantastic job listening, following instructions and learning about the importance of getting outside safely.
And of course, there was plenty of time for some chick cuddles and we collected eggs from the chicken coop🥚
What a beautiful day filled with play, connection, curiosity and learning. Every little experience is an opportunity to learn something new, and I just love watching our tamariki discover the world around them. 🌈✨

🔥🚒 What an exciting day at Playgroup! 🚒🔥
Today was such an exciting day as the tamariki and I headed along to playgroup, where we had a very special fire safety experience! ❤️
The tamariki were so lucky to meet some wonderful firefighters and learn all about fire safety and the important gear firefighters wear when they need to help put out a fire. Our VT Charlotte put on the fireproof overalls, and we were fascinated watching one of the firefighters put on their breathing mask. 😮‍💨🧑‍🚒
We were even luckier to have the opportunity to sit inside the fire truck 🚒❤️ and the tamariki got to have a turn shooting water from the firefighter’s hose! 💦 What an amazing experience — they were absolutely thrilled!
Of course, we finished our wonderful morning with some creative fun. Ky and Bodie made their very own flames using red and orange paper and glue. 🔥🎨
What a fantastic day filled with learning, exploring, creating and lots of excitement! We definitely had the best time at playgroup today. 🥰❤️
A huge thank you to our amazing firefighters for taking the time to teach our tamariki about keeping safe. 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🔥

Yay for the sunshine! 💕 We have had a lovely day enjoying the outdoors, exploring, playing and discovering together. There has been lots of laughter, curiosity and learning happening as our tamariki enjoyed making the most of this beautiful day. 🌿🌼

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had such a wonderful time here at Kylie's! 💕 Our days have been filled with fun, laughter, exploring, learning and lots of beautiful little moments together.
We have also had the pleasure of welcoming our newest little friend, Tia-Ā-Rangi, into our small in-home whānau. 💕 She has settled in so beautifully and has already become such a lovely part of our little group.

🌸 WELCOME TO OUR KYLIE’S IN-HOME WHĀNAU! 🌸
A very warm welcome to our newest little one, Tia-Ā-Rangi 💕✨
Tia-Ā-Rangi has had the most wonderful first day at Kylie’s house! She was such a happy, settled wee girl, enjoying lots of playing, exploring and learning alongside her new friends. 🥰
We’ve had a fun-filled day full of connection, laughter, discovery and lots of little moments to treasure. It was so lovely watching Tia-Ā-Rangi settle in, build new relationships and enjoy everything our day had to offer. 💕

☀️ A Wonderful Day of Sunshine, Play & Learning ☀️
What a beautiful day we had at home today! The sunshine invited us outdoors, where the tamariki enjoyed a wonderful mix of play, exploration, creativity and learning together. 🌿💛
Today we made gloop, and the tamariki had so much fun mixing cornflour, water and food colouring together. They loved exploring the fascinating texture — watching it drip through their fingers, then magically firm back up when they squeezed it. There was so much sensory learning happening as they experimented, discovered and talked about what they could see and feel. 👐✨
We also enjoyed some Orbeez (water balls) for more sensory exploration, along with lots of fun in the sandpit, imaginative role-playing and time spent being kind, caring and great friends to one another. 💕
Of course, we couldn't resist some cuddles and play with our baby chickens too! 🐥 They are always a favourite and provide such wonderful opportunities for gentle, nurturing interactions with our animals.
To make our day even more special, our Bright Futures friends popped over for a visit. The tamariki were so excited to see them and loved spending time playing and connecting together. 🥰
A beautiful day filled with sunshine, friendship, curiosity, sensory discovery and plenty of happy little moments. 🌈☀️

A special moment with Mila as she decided it was time to collect the eggs from our chickens. 🥚🐔

With so much excitement, she headed over to the coop, peeked inside the nesting box, happily said, "Eggs!" and carefully collected one all by herself. Moments like these are so precious, giving our tamariki the opportunity to connect with nature, build confidence, and experience the simple joys of everyday life.

It's these little moments that create the biggest memories. 💛
