We have 3 spaces left in our weekend intermediate / advanced throwing workshop with Penny Madden on the 3rd and 4th of May. 10am - 4pm both days, $120, BYO preferred clay and firing extra if requested. Message the page for more information 😊

Topics covered will included throwing larger forms, galleries and lidded vessels, throwing of the hump, and whatever else time and class aptitude allows.

Would you like to work in a busy pottery studio?

I’m looking for a studio assistant to help me in my growing ceramics business in central Napier.

Ideally, this is a full-time role (35-45 hours per week), but I’m open to part-time hours (18-25 hours per week) for the right candidate.

This is a varied and active position, where you’ll be involved in all aspects of running the studio.

The ideal candidate will be:- enthusiastic, personable, flexible, and reliable, with a keen willingness to learn.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

I’m committed to providing a positive and enjoyable work environment with plenty of room for growth. My studio is a safe, inclusive, and creative space where genuine working relationships are valued.

Napier pottery club has a few spaces left in our Saturday morning Beginners Wheel Skills course, as well as our Monday evening Beginners Hand Building course, both beginning in mid February.
