The Maraenui Regional Learning Centre is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals interested in a part-time casual position within our team.

This role is 10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours to support centre operations, provide contract coverage, and assist our existing programmes and services.

We are ideally looking for someone local who:
• Has strong administrative and organisational skills
• Is passionate about supporting our community
• Can build positive relationships with our ākonga, whānau, and kaimahi
• Is reliable, approachable, and able to work collaboratively within a community-focused environment.

We had the pleasure of welcoming and introducing akonga, staff and the community to Lucy Laitinen - New CEO of EIT and returning Operations Director - Glen Harkness to our Centre today. What an honour it was to share what our wee Centre does on the daily with aroha and awhi for our Community of Maraenui. Cyclone Vaianu is expected to bring significant rainfall and wind over the weekend to our regions. EIT has continued to monitor Cyclone Vaianu as it approaches New Zealand, especially as it relates to our campuses and activities in Auckland, Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti.

We expect all EIT Campuses and Regional Learning Centres to reopen as normal next week but please note that the EIT libraries on the Taradale and Tairāwhiti campuses will be closed on Sunday.

Should the situation change, we will update our pages. Please be assured that your personal safety, household safety, and family responsibilities take priority above all else.
