We are delighted to welcome our new children and families to our ECE whānau! 💛

Starting at an early childhood centre is a special milestone, and we feel privileged to be part of your child’s learning and development journey. We look forward to getting to know each of you, building strong relationships, and creating a safe, nurturing and fun environment where your child feels a sense of belonging.

Lisa, Why do you love Little Wonders Greenmeadows???

“It is the whānau community and the ‘homely’ feel that Little Wonders Greenmeadows presents. I see it, I hear it, and most importantly, I truly feel it.

I feel incredibly lucky to wake up each day and genuinely want to come to my place of work and be surrounded by such amazing people, contributing to the things that make me happy, and helping to create an environment where tamariki, whānau and kaiako feel connected and at home.

I love the connections we build with our whānau and their tamariki, but also the deep connections between kaiako and tamaiti. These relationships based on trust and care are something I truly value at LWG, and they are at the heart of what makes our centre so special.
These connections are further strengthened by the relationships between our teina and our tuakana both within our Tamariki and our kaiako. Being a mixed-age centre certainly comes with its challenges, and it is not necessarily an environment that suits every kaiako. But once you see it, hear it and truly feel the value of it, it really is something magical.
Watching the empathy, aroha and genuine care our tamariki show towards one another is truly beautiful. Our older tamariki naturally support and nurture our younger tamariki, while our younger tamariki bring their own sense of wonder, joy and curiosity to the group. There is so much learning that happens through these relationships for us all.

For me, Little Wonders really is a home away from home and that is exactly where I want to be"

" I love Little Wonders because it brings children of all ages together in one welcoming space. Here, tuakana-teina relationships flourish, creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn from and alongside one another while nurturing a strong sense of unity, belonging, and inclusion.

Our small, home-like spaces invite co-operative play and support the growth of social competencies, such as kindness, care, empathy, and consideration for others. Beyond these spaces, our natural, open outdoor environment sparks curiosity and wonder, encouraging tamariki to explore, discover, and deepen their connection with the world around them.

Children are empowered to take ownership of both the environment and their learning, supported by teachers who walk beside them - guiding, wondering, and learning alongside them. I also treasure our close-knit community, where whānau are warmly welcomed to stay, play, kōrero and contribute to our learning programme.

Working in the community I call home brings a special sense of familiarity and connection. It creates a natural foundation for conversation, strengthens relationships and allows meaningful connections to grow".

A reminder that these bags are not single use and need to come back with your child EACH DAY, especially when it is or has been raining. Our outdoor environment is very wet and muddy - meaning more clothing changes.

Rainy Day Adventures!!!
There nothing quite like getting outside and embracing the rain.
Our tamariki have been having so much fun exploring muddy puddles, splashing, jumping, and discovering all that wet weather play brings.🌧️💧

With gum boots on, umbrellas up and big smiles all round, we’re making the most of the rainy weather. ☔️💙

Because sometimes the best learning happens when we get a little muddy! 🤎🐾🌿✨
