Yay Spring has brought some lovely warm weather! 🌼☀️We are excited! 🤗
The tamariki are really enjoying messy play and water play. 💧🚰
So much learning takes place during water play and messy play...tamariki explore many concepts such as mathematics ➕️➖️and science 👩‍🔬 as well as problem solving , sensory development, social skills, language 👄 and a tonne of other fantastic learning. It brings them such joy and when tamariki are happy and having fun, they are naturally learning. Perfect 👌!

●Please can you all pop in a few changes of clothing in your child's bag each day 🎒👚👕👖👖
●a wet bag or other bag for their wet clothing🛍
●Name their clothing so we can ensure little tshirts and pants don't get lonely left at kindergarten 🥺
●...and if you wouldn't mind returning any kindergarten spare clothing so we do have some spares here for any children who may need some 🤗

Please be assured that we will change your children from their wet clothes so they don't get 🥶 cold ... 🫶

We have a nice pile of kids kakahu and tokena piling up at kindy that hasn’t found a home yet.

If any of these belong to you tamairiki they will be on the cubbies where their bags are.

Please label their clothes that way we can make sure they make it home.

Kia ora te whānau o Kāramuramu.

Firstly, we extend our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the recent stormy weather. Safety is our number one priority and we thank everyone for your understanding and quick response to pick your tamariki up on Wednesday afternoon.

This week has been all about settling in with lots of play, exploration, reconnecting and welcoming new tamariki to our kindergarten whānau. To all those who are still enjoying their holiday, we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Here's to a wonderful year ahead in 2026!
