Fools Pools Swim School is a Quality Swim School registered with Swimming NZ. All our teachers are trained Swimming Teachers and are assessed through the Swimming NZ program. Fools Pools Swim School offers Learn to Swim lessons to children of all ages during the school terms (we follow the Waimauku school term). Swimming lessons run in the afternoons and evenings, Mon to Thurs, and on Sat mornings

. We also run Swimming Squads daily (for children and adults), and offer private lessons (either 1 on 1, or 2 on 1). We offer Intensive Swimming Holiday programs during the Xmas holidays. We have a competitive Swimming Team that swims in the Auckland Swimming League (Terms 2 and 3). Fools Pools is open for Casual Swimming and Waterwalking outside of the Swim School hours. We are closely aligned with the Muriwai Surf Club, and they use our pool weekly for training sessions.

Pool Usage this Sunday 14 June

Sunday 14 June 1pm-2pm - Two lanes will be reserved for a Cross Fit group. One lane will be available for casual swimmers.

Also - Surf start their weekly winter training this week on Sunday 3-4pm and will be using the whole pool.

Please work your swims in around these activities.

*Calling all kids who will be aged 10-13 on the 1st October 2026*

Muriwai Junior Surf pool season training starts on Saturday June 13th, we would love to see you there giving it a go.

There will be two trainings a week one on Saturdays at the AUT/NAC pool where we will compete in our events and one on Sundays at Fools pools Muriwai. As always you can come to as many training as you can make fit, we know winter sports calendars can be challenging.

You will need to have a swim cap, goggles and a pair of fins suitable to train and compete in. You will need to join as a junior surf club member and we are just finalising coaching costs at this stage - it is looking to be $150 for training.

Note: you are welcome to try out a training before you join to see if it is for you - you will need to be able to swim 50 metres

Update on pool deck and bathroom maintenance:
The job has turned out be a bit bigger than originally anticipated. The pool is still open but only 1 lane in the main pool is open for casual swimming.
The small pool is open as usual.
Please be aware that we do have builders working on site throughout the day.
We intend to have it fully open for Monday 2 Feb, and will notify if we finish earlier.
