🎶 BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO SAM! 🎶

We’re incredibly proud of Sam, who took a leap and entered his original waiata “TE TUKANGA O NEHE” into the Play It Strange Waiata Competition — and has been named a FINALIST from a record number of entries from across Aotearoa! 🙌🏽🔥

Judges Ria Hall and Noema Te Hau are excited to see the waiata head into the studio, where it will be professionally recorded as part of the prize, before being officially released in the coming months. 🎙️🎧

Tipene continues to make its mark on the music and creative landscape, thanks to courageous tama like Sam who are willing to step outside their comfort zones, share their creativity and expand their horizons.

Ka mau te wehi, Sam! We can’t wait to hear Te Tukanga o Nehe come to life in the studio. 🎶👏🏽

Nathan was in Gisborne supporting the Warriors Pathways Event while also promoting TIPENE. While here, we took the opportunity to draw our TIPENE Fundraising Raffle.

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket and supported our kaupapa. With tickets at just $25 each and 25 amazing prizes up for grabs, it was a fantastic fundraiser!

🎊 Congratulations to all of our lucky winners! Whaea Holly will pass the prizes on to our tama, who will then deliver them to the winners.

I’m set up today at the Tairāwhiti Junior Rugby League Competition at Barry Park.

Tomorrow (Sunday), I’ll also be at Rugby Park watching the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 rugby league matches.

🏉 Our TIPENE U14 Rugby League Team were outstanding! 🏉

Our boys represented themselves, their whānau, and our Kura with pride, passion, and mana throughout the tournament. We couldn’t be prouder of the way they played and carried themselves both on and off the field.

A huge congratulations to Lucas and Te Kaharoa for being named in the Tournament Team – a fantastic achievement and well deserved! 👏
