πŸ€ Well done to our Year 6 Mounties who proudly represented Austria at last week's Basketball World Cup!

While the team didn't come away with a placing this time, they represented our school with fantastic sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork throughout the tournament. The players supported one another, played with great effort, and showed what it means to be part of a team.

We're proud of the way they competed, encouraged each other, and never gave up. Congratulations on a great tournament and for being such positive ambassadors for Mount Primary!

A big thank you goes to Anna, Cherie and Hannah for coaching, managing and scoring and to the families and supporters who cheered the team on throughout the event. πŸ‘

Our whole school hui this afternoon was hosted by Room 11 and Room 1. Both classes shared some of their writing, and our guitar students showed us what they've been learning. Congratulations to Room 6 and Room 13 who took out the Travel Smart awards for the week. We had 100% of our Caught Being A Mountie award winners at school today, which was super awesome!

Today these Mounties got to have Maccas for lunch with Mr H after they had their names drawn out for being regular attenders at school in term 1.

We’re going to do a draw each term so keep on sending your kids to school regularly so they can be in next terms draw.

And we finished off our week together with a whole school hui led by our International and English Language Learners, they spoke to us all about the metaphor of an international garden and taught us about Children's Day around the world and shared with us as part of Mothers Day things that their mums had taught them...

We acknowledged many of our students who had been Caught Being a Mountie, showing our Mountieisms in action.

We sang a song and also gave out a heap of rewards for our regular attenders from Term 1, some of our Mounties got lollies as a reward and some got to go out for lunch next week to McDonalds. Keep up the regualr attendance and maybe you (your child) could win next time...
