The sandpit volcano !
Great teamwork among the children building their volcano, gathering leaves to decorate it, then completing a science experiment to watch the lava eruption 🌋
It was a lot of fun figuring out how many spoons of baking soda they needed to use, how many drops of food colouring to add and how much vinegar to pour in, to make the lava eruption! A few trials were done, lots of squeals of excitement and fantastic conversations afterwards 😀

Creativity in the carpentry area 🥰
One of our older children showed incredible creativity, knowledge and confidence after spending a long time creating his fishing gear, painting it & then leading a group mat time talking about how he wants to be a designer for everything to do with fishing, especially designing kontiki, rods, drones and boats.
He shared his drone design with a remote control, spear gun idea and stopper for his boat tyres when parked. The question & answer time among the children, after he shared his creations at mat time was absolutely incredible to listen to !

Repetition is essential for mastering new skills! This young lady was so excited to revisit one of our word building activities this morning. She then went on to make a booklet, practicing her pincer grip and letter formation 🥰

Heading into the weekend feeling zen 😌
What started out with 3 boys leading their own yoga session, quickly grew to a group of 7 children. They independently went through the folder, practicing each move with patience & precision. They took turns to lead the session by demonstrating each move and turning the pages for the next move !
A beautiful activity to observe 🥰

2026 is the year of the Horse 🐎
The horse represents movement, freedom, courage, independence and endurance.
Our Montessori environment has beautiful activities relating to the horse.
Pictured here are some of the children working with the Montessori zoology puzzle of the horse & the 3 part cards of the horse. These activities introduce children to the anatomy and terminology of a horse, building on vocabulary, language, reading & writing skills.

Today, our amazing teacher from Nepal, along with her very special guests, shared so much about their culture with us 🥰
How stunning they all looked in traditional clothing and the children & teachers loved learning about music, songs, musical instruments, dance, food & cultural practices from Nepal. A huge thank you from us all !
What an amazing day 😍

As we work our way through the continents of the world, Asia is a topic of focus this term for us ! Such beautiful work cycles happening this morning on a very rainy day 🌧 Children of the world, animals from Asia, flags of Asia 🥰
We've also had a beautiful mat time led by our amazing reliever Barbara ! She showed us photo albums, ornaments, clothing & jewellery from her travels around Asia and lots of great stories to go alongside her bag of treasures 😍
