As we approach that time of year again, we would like to thank all our valued customers and schools for their ongoing support.
We’ve made a vast array of changes this year to our platform to make it more stable, user friendly and visually better. Thanks to our awesome team here at Inbox Design- we couldn’t have done it without every single one of you! Shout out to our team, we value you guys so much and you’re an awesome bunch to work with!!
Just a reminder of our holiday close down dates for the end of 2025/2026:
Close for customers Friday 12th December 2025 (no trainings or demos can be held, but support as usual)
Annual closure for Inbox Design and all staff: 19th December 2025 and Return Monday 12th January 2026 (No support available - only urgent issues).
Reopen for customers on 19th January 2026 (trainings can resume).

Important Visual Changes for 2025/2026
We have merged the main SchoolPoint settings with the SchoolBridge settings so you can now manage all your settings in one area. We are also working hard on making both of our products consistent, and the flow easier for all modules within both of our platforms. This process is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
Whilst you will notice many SchoolPoint features do look different, they essentially function the same. The main reason for this transition to the “SchoolBridge” platform is that it uses more stable and more modern technology than our previous SchoolPoint platform. The platforms will remain 2 separate subscriptions, it is purely the technology and coding base underlying SchoolPoint which is changing.
to our products, such as being able to add new features which the previous platform was not capable of delivering, and supports better integration between your SchoolPoint and SchoolBridge data, as well as custom SchoolSite websites.
As we migrate each module to the new interface, you may also notice some redirect screens. These are temporary, and as each module is rebuilt and enhanced and they will start to go to their own areas. The overall navigation of SchoolPoint and SchoolBridge will become much easier and smoother.
Our goal is to have the whole SchoolPoint platform migrated to the new one by the end of 2025, ready for users coming in to use it for 2026. We will be updating our current help guides continuously as these changes are released, so keep an eye on these. The help guides are accessible from the logged in staff accounts, under the orange “Get Help/ Training” button down the bottom right of your screen.
We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may have caused our schools over the last 2 terms, and for the remainder of this year. It is difficult making changes to any live platform as schools do utilise various modules within SchoolPoint and SchoolBridge throughout the year. We appreciate your understanding while we work hard on this.

IMPORTANT CHANGES coming next week in time for Term 2!
We are making changes to the Student/Caregiver view of SchoolPoint to more closely match the SchoolBridge user experience, both visually and functionally.
These changes will happen over the April holiday break.
Areas Already Updated:
Assessment Calendar, Goal Setting, Career Planning Forms, External Interviews.
TIMELINE:
Affected Areas - Term 1
Course Selection, Career Plan Questions, Student Notes, Student Interviews, Pepehā, Student Voice (Surveys).
The Student Menu/ Navigation settings from the SchoolPoint settings area will be REMOVED, and all schools will be able to use the SchoolBridge student dashboard to serve students the links and options they need. PLEASE UPDATE THESE BY 24 APRIL!!
If you have any custom links in your current Student Menu /Navigation settings, be sure to add these to the student and/or caregiver dashboards also.
Areas Planned for Term 2:
Parent–Teacher Conferences, Voting (BoT Approved Voting Changes) Careers: Interests, Strengths & Skills.

It's almost Christmas!!! and I've just realised it's been such a busy year I haven't posted much at all on here since this time last year! Note to self as a New Years' Resolution to post more happenings on Social Media for Inbox Design and our product updates!!
This Christmas period we will be closed to clients from 9th December 2024 and reopening 20th January 2025. We will be checking our email regularly for anything urgent over this time period however.
Our official shutdown period for ourselves and our staff's much deserved Christmas holiday will be from 20th December 2024 and returning to the office on 13th January 2025.
Thanks for your understanding with these dates and we hope you all have a lovely Christmas and New Year celebrations with your families.

Christmas office hours update!
*Friday December 8th- Closed for project work.
*Team on break from Wednesday 13th December until January 16th- office/ Support CLOSED.
*Wednesday December 20th- Server Migration (see post about this)
* Monday January 16th Office and Support reopens at new location!
We are just moving down the road to Farm Street Mount Maunganui.

IMPORTANT- Planned Network Changes- December 2023
We have scheduled Server and Network Changes
We have a series of network changes planned in December during which we will move our servers from our current Tauranga Data Centre to a higher-tier Data Centre in Auckland.
Over a number of dates up until the 22nd of December 2023, we will migrate hardware and services to the new Data Centre. We do not expect any major disruptions to our services during these times.
Why we're moving Data Centres:
For a number of years, we have owned and operated our own physical hardware here in Tauranga. Over the last two years, we have upgraded our hardware to faster and newer equipment as our applications grow and technology changes, and thanks to you - our customer base has grown.
With this, we have made the decision to upgrade and improve the next link in the chain, the physical presence of our equipment.
Different Data centres offer different connectivity and levels of service. We will be moving to a bigger data centre that is a higher grade ( or tier ).
When will we move and what will I need to do:
We're beginning the migration this week, provisioning the new network range and IP Address blocks. We will be updating our firewall rules and advertising our IP's that should be whitelisted for schools in an update to this post.
Then once the network and connectivity side of this is complete, we will move part of our equipment and run a dual network until right up before Christmas.
Just before Christmas, we will fully migrate the last of our equipment, and switch over the network.
As most of our customers are Schools, this timing should provide the least amount of disruption to the visitors of your website and uses of our SchoolSite, SchoolPoint and SchoolBridge applications.
We will update this post with further information and dates as they are confirmed.
