Taieri BMX Club Welcome to the Taieri BMX Club page! We host grassroots BMX races at the new Mosgiel BMX track for kids aged 12 and under.

Races take place every Thursday 5PM during school terms 4 and 1 in a beginner-friendly environment.

Hey racers and super support crews!

Change of plans: with the wind and possible rain rolling in, we’re moving the prizegiving to the Mosgiel Fire Station. We’ll start a little later than planned, but to make up for it we’re shouting pizzas — winner for everyone’s hunger!

Still want to burn a few laps? You’re welcome to do some fast laps at the BMX track from 5:30pm, then head to the Fire Station for prizegiving and pizzas at 6:00pm.

Can’t wait to see you there — rain or shine (well, mostly shine after the pizza)!

Good afternoon racers and supporters!

School holidays are almost over, which means it’s time for our end-of-season prizegiving. Here’s the plan:
4:30pm — light-hearted fun races to kick things off
5:00pm — prize and certificate presentation
5:30pm — ice creams for everyone
After that — a few extra laps until we wrap at 6:00pm

If it rains, we’ve got an indoor facility within walking distance of the BMX track — I’ll confirm on Thursday if we need to move indoors.

Since it’s the school holidays, we’re keeping things casual tonight. For anyone who's around and keen for a ride, we’ll be running some gates for some fun, low-key racing!
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Hey racers!

Bad news first — tonight’s racing is canceled due to the weather. Stay dry and safe! 🌧️

Good news — the fun’s just getting started!
- The next two Thursdays will be low-key, laugh-out-loud fun races. When I say fun, I mean FUN.
- Think Easter dress-ups, possible chocolate egg hunts, goofy challenges, and surprise shenanigans. 🐣🍫🎉
- Then on Thursday the 16th we’ll wrap things up with our end-of-season prizegiving — don’t miss it!

Come ready to race, dress up, and have a blast. Spread the word and stay tuned for any updates!

Good afternoon teams!

Big news — our end-of-year prizegiving will be on Thursday, 16 April. We picked this date so we can fit in as many race nights as possible this term and make sure plenty of families can join (many are away on the last Thursday).

One more thing: please wear your BMX top this Thursday — we’re aiming for a fantastic group photo. I’ll post a reminder tomorrow.

For those interested in learning more about this event, here is the information.

Age categories will span from year 9 to under 5s. Our speedy kids are likely to excel and secure top positions.

The sponsors have been extremely generous, providing fantastic prizes for adults and young racers alike.

If you are attending, please wear your club top. If we have 10 or more club tops represented, I will treat everyone to ice creams at the following meeting.
