Congratulations to Isla S who won gold at AIMS Games in the individual aerobics competition, on Friday. What a stunning effort! This follows on from her silver medal in 2025 .... a great example of an EMPOWERED student.

Other amazing results include:

- Mountain Bike Enduro: Jack 5th, Levi 7th, Charlie 16th (out of 183 Y. 8 boys)
- Squash - Sophie 11/29

Craft Day, Livestock Day and Top Team are being held in Week One next term! These activities involve the whole school and are fun events, families are invited to come along. Students received the Craft Day Entry Form yesterday which includes all the details.

Not long to go now until our Kapa Haka perform at the Piako Festival on the 16th September. Our roopu of 83 tamariki are so excited and have been putting the mahi in to showcase their very best. They are really looking forward to performing for whānau and community. 🤩

Your child should have brought a notice home by now with details around the day. AIMs tamariki can pick theirs up on Monday or feel free to pop into the office to collect one for them 📄

Congratulations to Ella who won a gold medal in gymnastics at the AIMS Games on Sunday. Ella came:
- 1st in floor
- 1st in bar
- 2nd in vault
- 13th on the beam
FIRST OVERALL (out of 39 gymnasts) ... that is awesome Ella; we are all very proud of you.

Congratulations to all of our school speech finalists who presented incredibly well written speeches with such confidence and poise today. Our invited judges, Georgina and Adrianne from Piako Toastmasters and Rhys and Christina the Morrinsville College Head Boy and Head Girl, were super impressed by the quality of the presentations and found it very hard to choose our winners.

In first place was Adam Garrud with his speech about living in the country being better than living in the city, second place was Wri Bhatta with her speech about the not underestimating the significance of the 'Pawn' chess piece and the connection this has to people, and in third place was Aarushi Aryal with her speech about the challenges different groups of women around the world face when fighting for their freedom.

These students earned a spot in the Rotary Speech competition being held locally on the 14th September however Adam is lucky enough to be in Japan on that date and so Taize who placed fourth will attend this competition alongside Wri and Aarushi. Adam will then attend the Vibrant Voices competition in week two next term where he will compete amongst other students from the Waikato.

A huge congratulations to our finalists and placegetters, and a massive thank you to our judges for giving up their time to be with us today.
