Fine dining for our tamariki!

Just ask our whaanau - they adore the delicious aromas from our kitchen! And we have received requests for parent takeaway options or recipe books! 😁

Our centre Chef Deirdre cooked up some delicious banana pikelets, accompanied with a side of mixed fruits!

Our Te Puaawai tamariki then used some of our pumpkins to create their own soup! From peeling, to chopping - great learning for our little learners! Toni, our Te Puaawai kaiako, created such a wonderful learning opportunity!

Reka Kai Alert ‼️

Our green fingered kaimahi and tamariki have been thriving in the mara kai! From potatoes, and tomatoes over the warmer months, to now harvesting our Pumpkins!

The kai that we grow from the whenua, is then used in our delicious lunches! However - we have had an abundance this time, and so we love to share and give back to our whaanau.

This is a part of our Bee Curious curriculum, Te Marama ki te Ao, which supports our tamariki on their journey of science, processes and working theories to understand how the world works.

PINK SHIRT DAY💓

Today at Busy Bees Morrinsville in the Infants room we celebrated Pink Shirt Day by wearing pink and spreading kindness throughout our space. We had fun pink activities for the tamariki to enjoy together.

Pink Shirt Day is a wonderful opportunity to teach our litte ones about standing up for another in positive ways. It was so special to see our tamariki and kaiako proudly dressed in pink while spreading kindness and love to each other!
