✨ Meet SHANNON! ✨
If you've spent any time in our toddler room, chances are you've already heard Shannon laughing! 😄 She keeps us all on our toes with her energy, competitive spirit (she definitely likes to win 😉), and ability to bring the fun every single day.
Shannon originally trained as a secondary school teacher before realising early childhood education was where she wanted to be. She's been part of our team since March 2025, and her knowledge, enthusiasm, and sense of humour make her an amazing part of not just the toddler room, but our whole centre. 💛
Her favourite thing about ECE? She loves being a part of the lives of the tamariki and being able to love on them even if it’s only for a short amount of time🌱
Three fun facts about Shannon...
🇬🇧 She was born in the UK.
🕒 She can't read an analogue clock... so if you ask her what time it is, you might get an educated guess. 😂
🍅 Tomato sauce? Absolutely not. Keep it well away from her! 🚫🍅
We're so lucky to have Shannon on our team—even if we do have to tell her the time now and then!

We'd like to extend a warm welcome to our new Centre Manager, Bronwyn who will be joining us on the 10th August. Welcome Bronwyn!!!

Kia ora koutou, Ko Bronwyn tōku ingoa.

I was brought up on a farm in Te Pahu, which sparked my lifelong love for the natural world. Before retraining in early childhood education, I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology. My home life is busy , I share it with my husband, our three beautiful children, a Toyger cat, and a Japanese Spitz dog.

I have been working in early childhood for over 10 years, and I am passionate about leadership, mentoring, and being there wholeheartedly for our tamariki and whānau. My priority is ensuring everyone feels valued, heard, and supported, while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

In my spare time, you’ll find me hiking, or spending time at the gym keeping up with functional fitness. I am very excited to be joining the team as your new Center Manager and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Preschool Room Team Lead - 32 - 40 hours per week

We are now looking to add to our exceptional leadership team. The role will involve working closely with the Centre Manager and leading a team of highly experienced and capable teachers. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of the Preschool room and ensuring we deliver the highest quality of education and care. We are happy to offer 32 or 40 hours per week.

Bumblebees & Buttercups are hosting a fun community fundraiser – Dunk it for Plunket! 🎉

Come along and join the fun as our brave Kaiako face the icy dunk challenge 🥶💦 You get to decide who takes the plunge by making a donation and casting your vote. The Kaiako with the most votes in each room will meet the splash – boom!

✨ Plus, we’re running a raffle with awesome prizes thanks to our generous sponsors Wild Bella and Morrinsville Paper Plus. Tickets are just $2 each or 3 for $5. Winners will be drawn on Wednesday 24th September and notified by phone.

Every dollar raised goes directly to Plunket, supporting tamariki and whānau in our community 💙
