We had a beautiful unveiling for Dion and Judy before prizegiving, and extra special thanks must go to the Latta family for the delicious lamingtons (D's favourite), and to Edward Wilson for his exceptional playing of the bagpipes. It was so nice to see ex-students and members of the public come along to be there for this special ceremony.

Thanks so very much to all the family, whanau and community members that attended Prizegiving - it was a wonderful celebration of achievement and the kids were all stars!

If children are coming to school tomorrow then no morning tea or lunch is needed, and please bring togs.

And just like that - here's our final newsletter for 2025!

A few main points from the newsletter:
👜Can all children please bring a reuseable bag tomorrow for school books and artworks.
📚Any journals, reading or library books please be returned.
🎅🏻Raffle cards and items due in tomorrow
👙Togs are needed EVERY day this week (Mon, Tues, Wed)
🚌Reminder that we finish on Wednesday at 2.45pm - school buses will be running everyday
🍎Room 5 shared lunch tomorrow
🍓No lunch needed on Tuesday or Wednesday as PTA providing
🏊🏻PTA Fun Afternoon has been moved to a Pool Party due to the weather forecast

🏆 Prizegiving is only a week away - we'd love to see you there!

🩷 And this year is a bit extra special as we unveil plaques for our wonderful, cheeky ex-pupil Dion Latta, and our incredible ex-Teacher Aide Judy Hughan, at their trees which are planted around the school grounds.
Please pop on down at 10.45am if you would like to be there for this. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Week 10 Term 4 Newsletter coming at ya! She's action packed full of photos from our massive week of being out and about and enjoying all our region has to offer.

👜🩷Lexie was absolutely stoked to get this lovely card in the mail from the reciever of her 'Bag of Hope'. In Term Two, students from Room 5 Team Kārearea each designed and brightly decorated a bag for people living with cancer in the Otago Southland area.

👜🩷This is such a great way to give back to our community as well as connecting with those who may need a wee 'pick-me-up'. Ka pai Lexie, Room 5, and the Cancer Society Otago Southland for organising such a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki.
