So it is that time of year again when kaiako and tamariki get a well-deserved break – bring on the Christmas cheer - everyone needs it after what has been another challenging year! However, in spite of this, we have managed an amazing, fun-filled year, and would like to thank our fantastic families/whᾱnau and wider preschool community for your ongoing positive contribution to supporting tamariki learning and development.
This year we said farewell to 18 tamariki to school with 5 more off after at the beginning of Term 1 2022. Lily, Sam, Thea, Storm, Rose, Kaitlyn, Angus, Bruno, Cash, Harper, Zyna, Aurora, Hettie, Greta, Eva, Bella, Tilly, Fraser, Sophie, Harriet, Nixyn, Edi, and Jonty -
"You're off to great places, Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting... so get on your way." We wish you all the very best, remember to work hard but play harder!!
Vacancies have been filled very quickly by new families and those wanting to increase their bookings. At the moment we have an approximate 6-month waiting list so if you have siblings wanting to join in the fun remember to let us know as early as possible so we can try to accommodate you.
We would all like to say a BIG THANK YOU for all the lovely morning tea shouts, baking chocolates, donations etc we have received - these past few weeks - truly overwhelming and very much appreciated.
Fundraising
Our fundraising team has worked very hard this year selling Wine, and beautiful Lily Bulbs, and - calf rearing!
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone for their purchases.
You are a fabulous community!
Calves were very kindly donated by Mike and Mags McGarva, Linda Rollinson, Laura Bawden, Brent Hislop, Gethin Owens, Red and Mel Lilley, and Randal & Serena Beswick.
We also want to give special thanks to Philip Wareing Ltd for transporting all calves at no cost - their donation to us!
The team has also taken over the "Ms. Methven" event which though unfortunately postponed due to the Covid restrictions will be held in 2022 (date to be confirmed).
Hopefully, we can start work on refurbishing our verandah next year!!
We look forward to a positive, nga mihi o te tau hou/Happy New Year
