🎨 Representing Tinui School with Pride ❤️🖤

This morning, a group of our talented young artists had the privilege of representing Tinui School at the unveiling of the Wairarapa Community Mural at the Masterton Library.

The murals were officially unveiled by Mayor Bex Johnson, celebrating the creativity and stories of our communities.

What a stunning display of artwork by schools from across the Masterton district! The creativity, colour, and talent on display were truly inspiring, and we were incredibly proud to see Tinui School's contribution standing alongside so many amazing pieces.

What a wonderful opportunity for our students to be part of something that will be enjoyed by the community. Well done to all of our young artists, your creativity, effort, and pride in your work have helped leave a lasting mark on our region.

❤️🖤 We are so proud of you! 🎨👏

Looking at this photo took me straight back to when I was five.

I remember looking up to the Form 2 students. They seemed so grown up, so clever, and it felt pretty special when they took the time to help us. Those little moments are something I've never forgotten.

There's something truly unique about small rural schools. The older students naturally become role models, the younger ones have big buddies to learn from, and everyone knows everyone. Those relationships don't just happen, they become part of who our children are.

Yesterday, we combined our classes for our science unit, "Dem Bones." Watching the older students helping the younger ones build skeletons, explain ideas, and encourage each other reminded me exactly why small schools are so special.

Learning wasn't just about bones and how our bodies work. It was about patience, kindness, leadership, confidence, and belonging.

These are the moments that make our little school such a special place to grow.

We need topsoil!!!

A massive thank you to my hubby Paul and our friend Romain for giving up their Sunday to make a start on our new gardens.

Now we need some top soil to fill them. Anyone local have couple loads they could get to us tomorrow or Tuesday? Trying to get these ready for the 150th 🎉

What a fantastic day our girls had at the Rippa Rugby Festival in Carterton today! They braved the cold and got stuck in.

We teamed up with our friends from Whareama and Wainuioru School and had an awesome day of rugby, teamwork, and plenty of laughs. It was great to see the girls giving everything a go and showing some fantastic rippa skills throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Haidee for coaching and Kailey for helping with transport!
