Cole Street Early Learning Centre

Cole Street Early Learning Centre Cole Street ELC is a small Early Learning Centre with a roll of just 24 children.

We are a mixed age centre with the belief that children learn and feel more comfortable in a place were families can be together and not separated into different areas of a building. Children have the opportunity to learn alongside each other fostering a sense of inclusion. We have highly trained teachers that are committed and passionate about providing the best care and education for your child.

Thursday’s adventures…
Connecting with people, places and things in our environment we went for a hikoi today to connect to the places of significance in our newly developed centre Pepeha.
We had a great time working together making chocolate chip cookies which provided great opportunities for exploration-mana aoturoa and concepts of tuakana teina.
Water play was very popular on this hot afternoon. Lots of problem solving and sharing of space, equipment and ideas.
Connecting with nature Lucy found a snail we named ‘Slippery’ and as kaitiaki of our environment we made sure our flowers had lots of water to grow .
