PUBLIC NOTICE - MĀPUA SCHOOL OUT OF ZONE ENROLMENTS 2027
Kia ora Whānau,
Each year, the Māpua School Board carefully considers our projected roll and the number of places we are likely to have available for students living outside our school’s home zone.
After considering our expected in-zone enrolments, current roll and available capacity, the Board has determined that 0 out-of-zone places are likely to be available at Māpua School for 2027.
As a result, applications for new out-of-zone places will not be invited for 2027 and no out-of-zone ballot will be held.
We know this will be disappointing for some families who had hoped their tamariki might be able to join Māpua School. We really appreciate the interest families continue to show in our kura and the confidence this reflects in our school community.
Students who live within the Māpua School home zone continue to have an entitlement to enrol at Māpua School. This notice also does not affect any student who has an existing entitlement to enrol under applicable transitional provisions of our enrolment scheme.
If you live within our home zone and have a tamaiti turning five during 2027, please get in touch with the school office if you haven’t already done so. Even if their fifth birthday is later in the year, having them on our expected enrolments list helps us plan as accurately as possible for staffing, class organisation and learning spaces.
If you are unsure whether your home address falls within our enrolment zone, or whether your child has an existing entitlement under the enrolment scheme, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.
