๐ŸŒบ Celebrating our Pacific cultures, our whฤnau and our tamariki together! ๐ŸŒบ

What a wonderful month of learning, culture, food, music, and togetherness! ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ’›

Our tamariki enjoyed a hands-on cultural experience as our teachers showed them how to clean and prepare fish, then fry it the Island way ๐ŸŸ. Together, they also made the delicious traditional Niuean dish Takihi, giving our tamariki an opportunity to learn about Pacific food traditions through cooking and sharing. ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿ 

We finished our Pasifika celebrations with a beautiful gathering of our centre community. Our wonderful Island whฤnau brought along a delicious variety of traditional Pacific foods to share, making the celebration even more special. ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

The day was filled with music, dancing and amazing performances celebrating our diverse Pacific cultures, including Niuean, Samoan and Fijian songs and dances. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฏ

A huge fakaaue lahi, fa'afetai and vinaka vakalevu to our teachers, tamariki, performers and whฤnau who contributed to making our Pasifika celebration so memorable. โค๏ธ

Through experiences like these, our tamariki learn to appreciate different cultures, traditions and the beautiful diversity within our community.

We had a beautiful time celebrating all the wonderful mums and mother figures in our childrenโ€™s lives. Our tamariki lovingly created special handmade cards and enjoyed a fun candle painting activity together with their mothers, creating precious memories filled with love, laughter, and creativity. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐ŸŽจโค๏ธ

Through hands-on experiences, our kฤkano explored the meaning of ANZACโ€”becoming emergency doctors in role play,dress-ups, baking ANZAC biscuits together, and collecting leaves and stems to craft remembrance wreaths. Learning through creativity, care, and respect.
