Manurewa Playcentre

Whanau of Manurewa Playcentre got together this weekend for our first working bee in over two years. We needed to tidy up our harakeke and the front garden. We now have more areas of nature to play in, safer spaces and it feels so fresh!

We had 11 whanau turn up yesterday to our planned working bee, two dads worked until dark and they were back today to clean it all up ready for tomorrow's session 👏

This week has been much cooler, but that hasn't slowed tamariki at Manurewa Playcentre down at all! Lots of imaginative play, friendship building and working together to make sure everyone gets a turn 🤝

Mā te whanaungatanga ka tupu ai te aroha me te māramatanga.
Through building relationships, love and understanding grow.

Our Tamariki Nui | Big Kid session is the day some of our tamariki wait for all week!

When asked, Miss 4 said "I really like Big Kids because we have lots of fun and can do experiments and I get to spend time with Nikki".

Today was our last session for 2025 as we close for the holidays. We farewelled a whanau and celebrated a birthday with our playcentre village 💜💛
