Department of Visual Communication Design
Communication Design, with its theories and practices is central to the process of making meaningful graphic representations. Communication Design is an intellectual, technical and creative activit

y concerned not simply with the production of images but with the analysis, organisation and methods of presenting the visual solutions to communication problems. What make this programme different? We have sought to analyse and bring together elements that have been missing within the graphic design field and this programme is an answer to that problem. Graphic Design and Motion Graphics
Graphic Design can be described as a creative activity that combines typography, illustration, and photography for the purpose of information, persuasion, or instruction. In this specialisation we teach the latest international trends of design practice and through this, produce a series of projects that reflects within this area. Motion Graphics is one of the most exciting mediums within the creative design industry. Everyday we are exposed to visual content and effects. The ideas and methods underpinning all of the projects that you do will be transferrable to a career in Graphic Design and Motion Graphics, whether that might be print publications, e-publishing, visual identity development, information and environmental graphics, typeface design, TV advertising, music videos, movie titles, documentaries, short film and animations - these are just some of the areas you will be designing for.
